Camp SMILE utilizes over 100 volunteers (each session) to accomplish its mission to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities and empower them to live their life without limits.

The majority of the volunteers stay on the campgrounds with the campers or in private cabins for the entire length of the camping session. However, depending on the “job”, some individuals volunteer all day, but sleep at home, and others volunteer for just a few hours a day.

All “over-night” volunteers are recommended to be CPR/First Aid certified and must also attend the mandatory counselor training session. See the volunteer schedule for details.

The Camp SMILE Spirit is very contagious! Volunteers quickly become part of a special family. Many of our volunteers return year after year. We look forward to you becoming part of our family!
