Please note the below changes and adjustments that are being made for camp this year to prioritize the health and safety of our campers, staff, and volunteers. We will move forward with this plan, and capacity, unless local or state government requires us to cancel.

  • Physical distancing (minimum of 6 feet) will be enforced throughout camp, and as many activities that can take place outdoors will be outdoors

  • Our campers will travel in small, closely monitored 'cohorts' (which we refer to as tribes), small groups of campers and counselors in order to minimize cross contamination, and keep any potential outbreaks small

  • Bunkbeds will be distanced, and counselors/campers will sleep head to feet

  • Non-Pharmaceutical Interventions (NPIs) such as masks, physical distancing at meals, activities, bathing etc., hand sanitizer, hand washing (more stations will be built) and others will be either implemented or more closely monitored than ever before

  • If your camper must be sent home due to illness, or camp must close due to a potential outbreak, no refunds will be issued. This has always been the policy. The cohort system should minimize this risk.

  • No visitors will be allowed at camp.

  • No typical siblings will be allowed to attend.

  • An additional COVID-19 waiver has been added to the application & must be completed to be accepted.

Please feel free to reach out with questions or concerns you may have. We will do everything we can to minimize the risk of COVID, and other illnesses, being contracted at camp, but there is no guarantee.

Space is very limited. Please apply as soon as possible, and let us know if you cannot attend

Please call 251-479-4900 or email campsmile@ucpmobile.org with any questions or concerns.
