Job Openings at Camp SMILE
This page has all of the positions that we are hiring for this summer. We have 4 weeks that you can choose from. You can work 1 week, a few weeks, or all 4 weeks.
Summer 2026 Dates:
Counselor Training: June 17th - June 19th
Week 1: June 22nd - June 26th
Week 2: June 29th - July 3rd
Week 3: July 6th - July 10th
Week 4: July 13th - July 17th
Kitchen Staff
Availability for all 4 weeks.
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have 1-3 years food service experience in educational or camp setting
Camp Nurse
Availability for all 4 weeks.
- Must have Alabama Nursing License
Medic
Availability for all 4 weeks
(1 medic per week needed)
- Must have Alabama Paramedic License

Lifeguard
Availability for all 4 weeks
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Must be certified
Cleaning Crew
Availability for all 4 weeks
- Cleaning Crew will help keep bathrooms/showers clean and help with laundry to keep camp fresh for campers and staff.
Volunteer EMT/A-EMT
Availability for all 4 weeks
- EMT/AEMT will assist nurses with camper/staff care.
-Must be a licensed EMT/AEMT
