What to Expect:
Family Weekend Camp allows families to come together to have fun and experience traditional camp activities, such as: kayaking, fishing, horseback riding, the ropes course and arts & crafts. It also allows for families to socialize with others who share similar life experiences.
Who Can Attend:
Campers, ages 5 - 14, who have a physical and/or developmental disability and their immediate family members can attend. Moms, dads, brothers, sisters, or other caregivers of the camper are encouraged to enjoy the benefits of the family weekend.
You must reside in Baldwin, Clarke, Escambia, Mobile, Washington or Monroe Counties to take advantage of family weekend.
What Is The Cost:
The weekend cost is $20 per family. This payment must accompany the application.
Medical Coverage:
A registered nurse and paramedic will be available on site during the weekend. Parents are responsible for bringing all medical supplies necessary for their family. These supplies must be kept in the Med Shed.
Housing:
Every attempt will be made to house families together; however, due to the size of our cabins, families with more than 4 members many have to be seperated into two cabins or may have to share a cabin with another family.
To Apply:
Complete the Family Weekend Application and complete a "Family Medical Information" page for each attending family member.
Return the completed application along with $20 deposit to:
